Police Beat News

22/02/2018
Parents/Carers please display positive and lawful actions when entering and exiting our school. This is not limited to motorists but also pedestrians. On 21 February, a pedestrian stepped out in front of vehicle while walking with her child right into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The pedestrian was not using the tunnel provided and was not crossing the road at a suitable location. Please ensure you are adhering to the road rules even as a pedestrian.
Fortunately the driver of the vehicle was able to avoid colliding with the pedestrian.
This is a timely reminder to all please be vigilant, adhere to the rules and apply common sense. Road Safety is vitally important and we need to ensure we are setting the best example for our children!
