Tree Planting

Members of Rotary Club Logan spent the day on Tuesday with our students planting an orchard.

The new orchard, situated behind the Resource centre, is made up of 32 fruit trees (a tree for each class) and 3 passionfruit vines.  Student representatives from each class donned the gardening gloves and planted their tree, with guidance from rotary volunteers.

All students will now care for and cultivate the orchard, which is a welcome addition to our growing kitchen garden.  Our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program is part of our STEM curriculum, which engages the students in the food journey from paddock to plate.
